Government is set to designate burial sites in all districts to prepare for the worst due to the increase in number of confirmed cases and deaths due to COVID-19 in Uganda! This was revealed by the Information and National Guidance Minister, Hon. Judith Nabakooba
The designated sites will allow health experts to conduct ‘scientific burials’ for those who succumb to the deadly illness that has so far claimed 15 people in Uganda and over 770,000 globally.
The Government will also temporarily halt the repatriation of Ugandans from abroad next week in order to decongest designated quarantine centres. So far, a total of 2,970 Ugandans have been returned home from different parts of the world. The exercise will continue until Tuesday next week.
